Middle School Elective · Grades 7–8
Three weeks of your own work got you here. Today the Agency gets its teams — and its first real problems.
Week 04 · Pod Day · Leg 1 · Join the AgencyThe verse opens the hour. Takeaways: say ONE of your three from last week. Then: "Today the Agency gets its teams."
The reveal. Here are your pods. "You get hired onto a team — and then you make it great."
The name. Your name ideas from homework go on the table. The pod picks one or mixes two. If you don't name it, it won't live.
The five seats. Account · Strategy · Creative · Operations · Technologist. Everyone holds one today. Seats rotate every leg — you'll hold all five this year. No seat is the boss of another.
Four parts: your name · your seats · three team agreements · one mission line + 2 or 3 values.
Real values cost something. "Be nice" costs nothing. "We tell the customer the truth even when it's awkward" — that one will cost you. Pick at least one like that.
The mission line: who this pod wants to serve, and how. One sentence. Businesses exist to serve — you learned that last week.
The pitch: 60 seconds. The frustration · who has it · when you last saw it happen. Everyone pitches at least one problem from their sketchbook.
The good-problem test: Real? people actually have it · Often? it happens a lot · Pod-sized? you can actually reach those people.
Top 3 survive. Not one. Next leg you'll meet the real people behind these — and they decide which problem wins.
Your name · who holds which seat · ONE value · your top 3 problems. The class gives one cheer, one sharpen.
Charter signed + top 3 chosen = Leg 1 complete. Photograph the charter into your Portfolio of Proof.
Pods live and named. Five seats filled. Three real problems per pod. Next: Leg 2 — Listen & Decide. You go meet the person who actually has the problem. At home: keep the sketchbook going — bring your top 3 back next week.
Own It — I am the proof.
