High School Elective · Grades 9–12
Three weeks of solo craft earned this moment. Today the agency gets its teams — and its first real problems.
Week 04 · Pod Day · Quarter 1The verse opens the hour. Three things, fast: ONE of your three takeaways from last week · your best pod name idea, held for a minute · and did you run the four moves at home? Hands up — one person shows their collection and their North Star word. Today the agency gets its teams.
The reveal. Announce the pods. "You get hired into a team — and you make it great." Let it land.
The naming. Name ideas from homework hit the table. The pod picks or blends one. If you don't name it, it won't live.
The five seats. Account · Strategy · Creative · Operations · Technologist — first rotation assigned today. Seats rotate every module: the seat-holder LEADS the discipline, the whole pod does it. No seat outranks another.
Four parts: the name · the seats · three team agreements · a mission line + 2–3 values.
Push values past posters. "Be good" is not a value. "We tell the customer the truth even when it costs us" is. At least one value should be specific and costly.
The mission line: who this pod wants to serve, and how. One sentence. (The tam. house values are on the wall — wisdom, integrity, stewardship, service, diligence, humility. Borrow freely.)
The pitch: 60–90 seconds — the frustration, who has it, when you last saw it happen. Every member pitches at least one sketchbook problem.
The good-problem test: Real? (people actually have it) · Often? (it happens frequently) · Pod-sized? (you can actually reach these people).
The shortlist. Top 2–3 problems survive — not one. Module 2 does the choosing, after you've met the humans behind them.
Name · who holds which seat · ONE value · the problem shortlist. The class gives one cheer, one sharpen.
The Pod Charter is the pod's founding artifact. Photograph it before the hour ends. It goes into your portfolio in studio, or at home tonight with a parent.
It posts on the wall and in the portfolio. For each shortlisted problem: one written line on WHY it passed the test.
Four artifacts: sketchbook (5+) · Dribbble collection, numbered, with lens notes · Practice Log + your three AI rules · Pod Charter + shortlist. Close gaps now.
Tamos opens today, inside your family's account until your own login arrives. Every Module 1 artifact gets uploaded by you. This is where your proof lives from now on.
Portfolio entries + 3 hours recorded.
Pods live and named. Four artifacts per student. A shortlist of real problems per pod. You already saw what a finished design foundation looks like — that is what your pod builds, for your problem, once you have found one worth solving. Next: Module 2 — Problem Discovery & Personas — you meet the human behind the problem.
Own It — I am the proof.
